COVID – 19 UPDATE

This is a message of thanks to our colleagues and temporary staff for their efforts in continuing to work at this difficult time. We fully appreciate the uncharted challenges and uncertainty presented by the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), but are doing our best to keep you continuously updated, as your safety is our main priority.

The on-going situation, which affects both businesses and individuals, is causing enormous uncertainty, but at H&G Recruitment, we are doing our best to maintain ‘business as usual’.

We want to let you know that looking after our clients, temporary workers and colleagues is our main priority at H&G, whilst ensuring we all have a clean and safe environment to work from on and off site.

Our clients

We are following guidance provided by the Government and working closely with our clients to ensure we collectively do everything possible to help the country in these challenging times.

Whilst our clients are taking on increased volume, they are also working around the clock to fill the stores with what the general public need in order to serve their customers and communities. Increased stock has been sent to stores by trucks our drivers drive 24/7 and loaded via the warehouses to ensure people can continue shopping for items that they vitally need. This is in an effort to ensure we take care of one another when we need each other most.

Our workers

Thank you for following the COVID-19 guidelines in regards to hygiene and health precautions.

We need to take the necessary steps to ascertain potential risks to our workforce. We advise you to:

  • Wash your hands regularly with anti-bacterial wash
  • Carry hand-sanitiser gel with you at all times and use frequently
  • Carry disinfectant wipes with you to clean cab interiors, surfaces, HHT and mobile devices frequently
  • Catch coughs and sneezes in a tissue and dispose safely
  • Avoid hand shaking
  • Where possible, distance yourself from mass social gatherings

We also request that you ensure that you are familiar with and follow self-isolation guidance in relation to any individual who has recently been travelling in affected areas, anyone showing symptoms and those living with a family member showing symptoms. Please visit the World Health Organisation’s website for more information.

Home deliveries have been extended so that our clients can deliver more to their customers, so we urgently need more warehouse operatives and van drivers to support these operations.

If you haven’t signed up with us before, or are currently looking for work, please get in touch with us by calling 0808 175 3644 or applying online. Please also continue to recommend friends who can help and are looking for work.

Our employees

We are taking extra precautions within our offices to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. This includes monitoring our staff for any signs of illness as well as a robust cleaning and sanitation routine.

We are also providing our team with the latest government and industry advice to ensure that everyone who works for or with H&G Recruitment, understand their role in looking after themselves.

Our offices are currently open, but we have planed for a home working strategy so that we can continue to operate business as usual. We have a duty of care to the welfare of our staff, so please call ahead of any visits to our offices.

Thank you

We want to personally thank all our dedicated internal staff & temporary workers who are working very hard in very challenging circumstances, to serve our clients, who are endeavouring to support our communities and take care of one another.

We expect the days, weeks and months ahead to be testing. We know that pulling together as a team to support each other will help us to overcome many of the challenges yet to come and we are diligently putting plans in place to ensure business continuity to meet the changing demands of the impact of this pandemic

We would like to ask all our staff & temporary workers to please consider others, especially those who are most vulnerable in our society. Please continue to treat our colleagues on the front line with the greatest respect those of you working on-site’s and in the warehouses that critically need you.
