Rates of Pay 12.65ph (Umb)

Working at our clients transport distribution office in Warrington, in a multi temperature, fast moving and challenging environment. Electronic manual handling equipment, along with a large fleet of Class 1 and Class 2 vehicles, is used to load and unload vehicles, store, order pick and deliver Customer products to their stores across the UK.


This is a demanding administrative role in which colleagues must have the ability to:

  • Proactively manage own workload within a shift on a day to day basis
  • Ensure effective and excellent quality communication is delivered to colleagues and management teams and customers on a daily basis
  • Problem solving and management of customer service issues
  • Achieve and exceed operational key performance indicators
  • Deploy labour effectively to ensure that the use of core / agency colleagues are optimised in line with business and legal requirements
  • Focus on customer service and interact with customers in a professional manner
  • Understand the Working Time and EU Driving Regulations and adhere to legislation
  • Comply with company standards and site specific policies accordingly i.e. Safe Systems of Work, Substance Misuse, Dignity at Work, etc.
  • Have a good understanding of, and contribute to the XPO Supply Chain Values and culture on site
  • Communicate at all levels effectively
  • Have a solid understanding of systems and transports aids e.g microlise and Tachomaster
  • Drug and alcohol screening of colleagues both for cause or randomly
  • Perform other duties reasonably required of the role as requested by management

Skills required

  • Knowledge of working with Tachomaster or similar system
  • Confidence in utilising Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
  • Be fully conversant with EU / Working Time Regulations and Tacho management including manual entry completion
  • Deliver consistently to targets
  • Understand departmental budgets
  • Drive to meet business, team and individual goals
  • Team player
  • Have good geographical knowledge
  • Flexible approach to working hours
  • Focussed on providing excellent customer service
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities in a fast moving multi temp environment within a transport operation.
